| Johnston Actuarial Services Limited and Johnston Pension Trustees Limited are managed by Graham Johnston, BSc, FIA who won an Open Scholarship to Sheffield University and graduated with a Special Honours degree in mathematics. He qualified as an actuary in 1973 and spent 20 years in the life insurance and pensions industry, in both UK and mainland Europe.
Since 1994 he has specialised in pensions consultancy, working firstly for an established pensions actuarial practice during which time he was appointed a director of a pensioneer trustee company (1996), thereby being responsible for issues affecting small self-administered schemes, and he obtained his Scheme Actuary practising certificate from the Institute of Actuaries in February 1998, thereby enabling him to provide full actuarial advice to defined benefit schemes.
More recently he worked for a major financial services company as a founder director of their new pensions administration and pension trustee companies, during which time he also played a key role in the development of a range of SIPP (self-invested personal pension) products.
He established Johnston Actuarial Services Limited and Johnston Pension Trustees Limited at the end of 2006. |
